Renault Filante Record 2025: Design

The Filante Record 2025 exists through a joint effort between Renault and the French racing specialist Ligier. The concept achieves an overall length of 5,120mm while maintaining a height of 1,190mm, which matches the size of a Range Rover and undercuts a McLaren 750S. The Filante Record 2025 achieves better airflow control across its body through these dimensions. Unique 19-inch wheels minimize air drag, while Michelin tires operate to decrease friction losses.

Powertrain

Renault’s EV segment, Ampere, created a unique 87kWh battery system for its upcoming Filante Record 2025. The battery cells operate within a pack that maximizes efficiency through optimized space placement and provides the same 610km range as the Renault Scรฉnic. This battery pack uses a carbon casing to achieve a width of 1,710mm and ships at less than 600kg weight.

The Filante Record 2025 reaches a weight of 1,000kg because its body utilizes ultra-light materials, including carbon fiber and 3D-printed high-strength aluminum alloy and carbon fiber. The chassis combines aluminum with carbon and steel into a composite structure. Renault achieved weight minimization through the combination of steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire technologies, which need fewer mechanical components to deliver precise electronic control.
