Mahindra Scorpio N Carbon Edition

Mahindra has launched the Scorpio N Carbon Edition, with prices starting at Rs 19.19 lakh (around $23,100). This special edition is available exclusively for the Z8 and Z8L trims and features an all-black exterior and interior treatment. It comes only in a 7-seat configuration and takes on the Tata Harrier Dark Edition as its direct rival.

Mahindra Scorpio N Carbon Edition: Exterior & Design

The Scorpio N Carbon Edition chooses a sleek blacked-out look over chrome. Dark themes run through the door handles, window molding, alloy wheels (up to 18 inches), and roof rails. Even the characteristic Mahindra grille fits the single paint choice, Stealth Black. This gives the SUV more of an aggressive and threatening posture, which distinguishes it on the road. The blacked-out alloys accentuate its robust appeal, therefore enhancing its aggressive appearance.

Inside the cabin, the all-black decor continues. Sportier black upholstery has been used in place of the standard tan leatherette seats, and the dashboard, roof liner, door trims, and seats have all been blacked out. This complements the SUV’s external style and adds to its luxurious yet rugged feel. With an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-speaker premium audio system, a sunroof, dual-zone temperature control, several drive modes, and six airbags, the overall design and features are identical to the essential Scorpio N. The comfort and convenience are unaffected by the visual makeover, guaranteeing customers a comfortable yet modern experience.

Mahindra Scorpio N Carbon Edition: Engine & Performance

The Scorpio N Carbon Edition shares its powertrain with the regular model. The 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine produces 203hp, while the 2.2-liter diesel engine produces 175hp. Both engines can be used with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The diesel engine’s four-wheel drive (4WD) system gives adventurers an advantage off-road.

Price & Rivals

The Scorpio N Carbon Edition is priced between Rs 19.19 lakh and Rs 24.89 lakh (approximately $23,000 to $30,000 USD), which is Rs 20,000 more than the regular Z8 and Z8L models. Despite not having a 4WD option, it is competitively positioned against the Tata Harrier Dark Edition. Due to its cost, Mahindra is a good alternative for those looking for a bold, feature-rich SUV with additional off-road capability.
