During Spain-based EV Day, Kia introduced the Concept EV2 alongside the EV4 to showcase its B-segment all-electric SUV concepts. This vehicle suits urban lifestyles because it blends a small size with a premium interior design while staying true to Kia’s innovative nature.
Kia EV2 Concept: Design
The Concept EV2 follows modern EV design principles that create an attractive yet minimalistic exterior. The front of the vehicle features vertical daytime running lights (DRLs) combined with Star Map lighting to form an advanced front-end appearance while maintaining Kiaโs distinctive tiger-nose grille. Although small, the Kia SUV displays a robust stance with prominent fenders and strong bumpers, while its sculpted shoulder line delivers an athletic presence. The SUV emphasizes its confident look through geometric glass elements and sculpted wheel arch shapes.

The most distinctive feature of this design is how the rear doors are mounted on the C-pillar, enabling a suicide door configuration. Whether this rear door setup will make it to production remains uncertain.
Kia EV2 Concept: Interior
The Concept EV2โs design prioritizes interior space optimization and flexibility. Its cabin integrates sustainable materials with a flexible seating layout, allowing the second row to fold down for more excellent utility. The pillarless structure and rear-hinged doors enhance accessibility through a large passenger entryway.
The car becomes more practical with a flat floor system, sliding front seat functionality, and a collapsible luggage compartment. The interior also features diagonal LED ambient lighting and an animated dashboard, creating a futuristic atmosphere.
Kia EV2 Concept: Tech
Despite its compact size, the Kia Concept EV2 is packed with technology. The vehicle has V2L capability, allowing users to power external electrical devices from the carโs battery. The Concept EV2 also supports Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates to keep its systems current. It includes an innovative window display system allowing users to project outdoor messages.
One of this vehicle’s most unique features is its removable triangular speakers, which can be moved inside or outside the cabin for a better audio experience. The concept model showcases various features that may be included in Kiaโs future production versions.
Will It Come to India?
The EV2, based on Kiaโs E-GMP platform, will offer various powertrain options alongside practical, real-world driving range capabilities. The production model will launch in 2026 for European buyers, and U.S. customers will receive it in 2027.
Indian customers will soon have access to the Kia Syros EV as demand for compact EVs continues to rise. However, the EV2 has limited chances of entering the Indian market shortly, though future developments remain possible.
