Jaguar just dropped its new electric concept car, the Type 00, and itโs turning heads! This car gives a glimpse of whatโs coming with their 4-door GT model. It follows the recent buzz around Jaguarโs new logo and brand update, which got people talking. The Type 00 is a departure from the classic Jaguar look โ think bold, dramatic, and out there, catering to a new crowd that loves a little flair.
Type 00 stands for โzero emissionsโ and a fresh start. Unlike most electric cars, which are all about being sleek and aerodynamic, this one embraces a bolder design with a striking front end, a long bonnet, massive wheels, and eye-catching wheel arches. Jaguarโs managing director, Rawdon Glover, explained that theyโre going for something differentโa car that stands out in the crowded EV market.
The exterior is a fun mix of pastel pink and blue inspired by Miamiโs Art Deco style. And youโll notice Jaguarโs new branding scattered around, with the โDevice Markโ grille, โMakers Markโ on the fenders, and โArtist Markโ on the wheels.
Exterior Design
The front features slim headlights and a bold grille with patterns that carry over into the cabin. The car has a long bonnet and a big wheelbase, giving it that true GT vibe. Brass accents cleverly hide rearview cameras instead of mirrors. And the prism case on the fender? It holds three key fobs that let you change the carโs vibe โ from lighting to display settings. At the back, the taillights are hidden within the design, and the glass roof creates cool patterns of light inside.
Interior Design
Inside, the Type 00 is sleek and minimalistic, split by a brass โspineโ that runs through the centre of the cabin. The wool seats look like theyโre floating, thanks to being mounted on a stone console. The interiorโs clean lines hide storage and screens that only pop out when needed. Plus, the bright lighting makes everything feel modern and stylish.

Platform and Launch Plans
This car will be built on Jaguarโs new Electric Architecture (JEA) platform, promising 770 km of range and super-fast charging that gives you 321 km in just 15 minutes. This platform will be exclusive to UK-made vehicles, so no plans for Tata Motors to use it just yet.
The production version is set to launch in late 2025, starting in markets like the UK and US, with India following around 2026 or 2027. While Jaguar hasnโt revealed the price, itโs expected to be a high-end model, part of Jaguarโs strategy to elevate its brand.
The Type 00 is a bold new direction for Jaguar, showing theyโre ready to shake things up. Whether buyers are on board with this bold shift will determine where Jaguar heads next.
