Honda’s 0 Series prototypes, an SUV and a sedan, were launched at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, United States of America. They are among the first of seven sequentially produced EVs built on an all-new platform. Both will be launched next year in North America before being rolled out in other markets, like the European market.
Honda 0 Series SUV
The new SUV is inspired by the Space Hub concept model, which the Honda Company unveiled at CES last year. The prototype SUV looks slightly shorter than a sedan but has an upright windscreen position to provide maximum interior roominess. However, its rear end appears rounded, giving it the impression of an MPV. Honda has not yet released its technical specifications.
Honda 0 Series sedan
The Japanese automaker introduced the Zero sedan as a concept vehicle at the CES 2024 auto show. The latest prototype’s exterior and interior designs have a final look quite similar to that intended from the left. Honda says that because of this, these EVs’ platform comes with an around 8mm thinner battery than most rivals for space.

The 0 Series sedan’s electric power will be drawn from an 80-90kW NMC battery with an energy density of over 482km. A larger battery pack, probably 100kWh, will also be available.
Honda 0 Series ASIMO OS: Elevating Driving with Level 3 ADAS.
The company also unveiled ASIMO OS, which will act as the systems controller of all key vehicle systems in the 0 Series vehicle line. ASIMO is derived from the name of the realization of the humanoid robot concept created by Honda in 2000. The OS will handle ECUs for vehicle systems like autonomous driving, driver assistance, and car multimedia and support OTA commands.
As the Japanese manufacturer says, all 0 Series EVs will be Level 3 ADAS-ready, meaning the driver can sometimes safely take their hands off the wheel. Globally, Honda offered a model called Legend, particularly on the international market, with a Level 3 ADAS system.
Honda 0 Series Engine System: Power, Efficiency, and Innovation Combined.
