BMW India has introduced the new BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase (LWB), a variant geared for premium sedan buyers seeking more passenger room without sacrificing performance. The revised 3 Series LWB, which is manufactured locally at BMW Group Plant Chennai, is now available in a petrol model, with a diesel alternative due shortly. The BMW 3 Series LWB costs ₹62,60,000( est $71,600) (ex-showroom).

The new BMW 3 Series LWB has an expanded form, measuring 4,819 mm long with a 2,961 mm wheelbase, making it the most extended sedan in its class. The longer wheelbase improves rear-seat comfort, an important selling factor for Indian purchasers. The exterior style is unmistakably BMW, with its iconic kidney grille, dual circular Adaptive LED Headlights with cornering function, and Aluminium Satinated trim pieces. The High Gloss Black rear diffuser adds to its sporty flair. Customers can pick between metallic paint colors: Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, M Carbon Black, and Arctic Race Blue.

Inside, the new 3 Series LWB features a luxury cabin made of high-quality materials, including Leather Vernasca Cognac upholstery that adds to its elegant look. The enlarged proportions allow for more legroom and rear-seat comfort, making it a strong rival in the luxury sedan class, especially for customers who prefer a chauffeur-driven experience. The driver-focused cockpit has advanced digital displays, a curved touchscreen infotainment system, and BMW’s most recent iDrive interface, resulting in a seamless and intuitive user experience.

The sedan also includes a comprehensive array of advanced driver assistance systems, which improves convenience and safety. Park Assistant Plus with Reversing Assistant makes parking more manageable. Performance

The BMW 3 Series LWB is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 258 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. With an 8-speed automatic transmission, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. The precisely adjusted chassis and rear-wheel-drive configuration provide a sporty driving experience while maintaining ride comfort.
