Aprilia has officially launched the Tuono 457 in India at ₹3.95 lakh (ex-showroom), or roughly $4,730, a few months after its global unveiling at EICMA 2024. The Tuono is a sport-naked, stripped-down sibling of the RS 457, bringing aggressive styling with well-known mechanics.
Aprilia Tuono 457: Design
The Tuono 457 departs from Aprilia’s conventional tri-bulb layout with a crisp, small LED headlight flanked by angular DRLs, in contrast to its fully-faired sibling. The 12.7-liter gasoline tank is marginally smaller than the 13-liter RS 457 but shares the same chassis and bodywork. The Tuono 457, which comes in Red/Black and White/Grey color variants, has a striking yet elegant appearance.

Aprilia Tuono 457: Performance
The Tuono 457 is designed to provide a more exhilarating and comfortable ride. Its raised handlebar, which makes it more upright and street-friendly, is the main difference from the RS 457. Because it has a larger rear sprocket than the RS 457, it has a shorter final drive, increasing its agility and guaranteeing sharper acceleration.
Engine & Features
The 457cc parallel-twin engine powers the RS 457, which produces 47.6 horsepower, and 43.5 Nm, which powers the Tuono 457. A bi-directional quick-shifter is an optional add-on, and it is linked to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. The RS 457’s frame, suspension, brakes, and electronics are retained, upholding Aprilia’s reputation for outstanding performance.
Price & Rivals
The Tuono 457 is priced at ₹3.95 lakh (approximately $4,750), which is ₹25,000 less than the RS 457. With a new price tag of ₹3.50 lakh (around $4,250), the Yamaha MT-03 becomes its primary competition, but the KTM 390 Duke at ₹2.95 lakh (approximately $3,600) remains a tough contender. However, the KTM has a single-cylinder engine, while both the Tuono and MT-03 are powered by twin-cylinder systems.
