2025 MG Comet EV

The 2025 MG Comet EV has been launched in India at a price of Rs 4.99 lakh (approximately 6,000 USD). This updated version also offers Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) at Rs 2.5/km, thereby giving customers an option of flexible ownership.

Several trims are available now, including Executive, Excite, Excite FC, Exclusive, and Exclusive FC. All the trims have feature upgrades, and Excite variants now come with a rear parking camera and power-folding ORVMs, while Exclusives get leatherette seats and a 4-speaker audio system.

The Comet will still retain a compact urban design, but now, for Rs 7.80 lakh, you could purchase the Blackstorm Edition, which comes with a ‘Starry Black’ paint job featuring dark chrome and red accents, making it sportier. The Blackstorm Edition treatment is also applied to models like the Hector and Astor, featuring a black-themed exterior with red highlights.

The Comet has a touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and connected car features. Special ‘Exclusive’ variants now get leatherette seats, providing an even more opulent cabin experience. Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, TPMS, rear parking sensors, and an electronic parking brake are included safety features.

Powertrain

The MG Comet EV FC variants come with their 17.4 kWh battery pack, providing a driving range of 230 km on the fully charged battery. This compact EV is quite economical within the city limits, thereby being the preferred choice for short commutes, with the battery-as-a-service option making it an even more affordable vehicle than other battery owners.
